The rules of the site are all recorded here; your guide to make sure that you are never banned or even warned. Following these rules guarentees that you will never be banned from this site. There are rules on conduct, roleplaying, and posting. Please make sure to read.

In order to play on Ascendancy, you must post a character biography. Inside there is a board for pending biographies, where you can post your bio and wait to have it accepted.

Here is where you can keep a record of all of your characters. You might include basic information, current threads that you character is in, and even thoughts your character might have at the time.

This is where a player can come to try and find someone who might be interested in adopting their charatcer. If you have a character that you want to abandon, post the biography here and wait to see if anyone wants to adopt it.

What's a site without fights, scandals, and love involved? This is the board where you can come to plan plots with the rest of the members. We encouarge this; it helps keep the site alive.

You may have noticed the feature in your profile called points. You accumulate these as you post. Well, so this feature isn't entirely useless, I am allowing you to buy things for yourselves and your dogs. The list of items you can buy and the form you have to fill out in order to buy something are located inside.

The city was abandoned years ago, left for the dogs. All that remains of the humans are their buildings; tall, old, dilapidated buildings that are beginning to crumble and fall. The city can be a dangerous place if you aren't careful. Most of the structures are unstable, but a few may still remain standing for years to come.

A large apartment complex was built here near the river many years ago, but the structure was created to withstand even the worst earthquakes, so it continues to stand even today. Years of neglect haven't seemed to do much to this building, though vines grow on one side and not all of the windows are unbroken. It is a good place for stray dogs to stay.

The Blue River is a large, dirty river that is slowly growing cleaner now that the humans are gone. The waters are too fast to cross by swimming, so it must be crossed by using the bridges that cross it. It separates the northern and southern halves of the city.

The bus station and the train station were combined into one station in order to save room. Now they are empty, though a few idle buses and trains sit, waiting to be used again, though they never will be. A stairway leads to the subways, thought those are dark and empty, unused for years.

The Forest of Death is a place where most dogs prefer to keep away from, though not because of the forest itself. They stay away because of the dogs that already live here; the dreaded Mikiri Pack. The forest is a dark place filled with all kinds of creatures. It always seems to be dark, thought that might be simply because of Mikiri's reputation.

Southern Selance is the better half of the city. No more than half of the buildings here are crumbling to the ground, opposed to the rest of the city where most of the buildings are falling down. This part of the city is home to the Hiken Pack, the pack that lays in between the Mikiri and the Tenshi packs. They have little reputation, since they prefer to keep out of the business of other packs.

The Ramshackle Hideaways is a collection of different terrains. Most of it is the richer part of the city; large buildings and big lawns. The buildings have begun to fall down but are still in relatively good shape. The rest of the terrain is open country were cows and other farm animals roam the land. This is home to the Tenshi Pack.

The Secret Forest is a dense forest that lies on the borders of the city. It is growing closer and closer to the buildings every day. With no humans to keep it back it is growing at a quick rate. Rivers and lakes can be found inside the dense walls of trees and many species of animals make their homes here.

Though the east side of the city is bordered by a dense forest, the west side lays along a beautiful beach. The sands are white and untained by humans, the waters are beautiful and clear. There are many tidal pools and sand dunes everywhere. It is a nice place to come and spend time and relax, especially when the sun is shining.

Coulin County was the part of Selance City that was once farmland. Now that the humans are gone the animals that once lived on the farms - inlcuding cows, sheep, and horses - have escaped and now run wild on the open ranges just as the deer do. There are many open fields with tall grasses that reach well over the heads of most animals and some fields that are filled with wild crops that continued to grow after the humans left.

The old church lays on the ouskirts of town. It was founded in the mid eighteen hundreds by the new settlers in the region, before there was a big city here. It has been abandoned longer than the city, and yet it still stands, a portal into the past. It is a little unstable, so it is recommended that anyone who enters is careful about where they move.

This is the board where you can do anything that you want. Anything goes here. You can play games, make polls, post things that you want critiqued and anything else that you can think of.

This is were guests may come to post question and suggestions that they might have. Apart from the advertising board, this is the only place where guests are allowed to post. If anyone abuses this privilege then this board will be closed.

This is where members may come to post any questions or suggestions they might have for the site. Guests are allowed to view this board, but not post.

When you are leaving for a time, please let us know here so that nothing will happen to your account while you are away. If you are quitting, please tell us and make sure to let us know what you want us to do with your characters.
